Fallout, Fallout, Fallout. It’s almost all you hear about in gaming recently. Well, don’t worry, we here at Video Entertainment Analysis Group don’t play favorites when it comes to reporting the news, so here’s a quick tidbit about Call of Duty.
A dog? Big deal. They had a dog in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Once word starting getting around about how many hours you’ll spend walking around picking up trash in Fallout 4, Activision CEO Robert Kotick wouldn’t let it go without bragging about the length and girth of his own upcoming title: Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
“Yeah, we’ve seen the articles…Fallout 4 will be over 400 hours long, blah, blah, blah. Who knows how boring that’s gonna be? The combat in that series is dated and just plain slow. If you want a fast-paced adrenaline rush, come check out Black Ops 3 this fall. Oh, and guess what, BO3 is going to be over 400 MILLION hours long, because of our trademark multiplayer experience. It never gets old, and it never gets beaten; you can play all sorts of different game modes like capture the flag and Zombies with your friends and strangers over the internet. Call of Duty’s single-player campaigns are always short and sweet too, so you can replay them as many times as you want and I can guarantee it’ll be actually entertaining for more than some measly 400 hours.
If there’s ever a time where Call of Duty isn’t fun, we won’t release a new game the following year, and that’s a Robert Kotick quotable right there.”
Crafting and mods? Boring. Now customizing loadouts and augmentations, that’s something we could get into.
